Jakarta, 6 September 2024 – The Student Organization of Nature Lovers of Politeknik STIA LAN Jakarta recently held a showcase event with the theme “From Waste to Benefits: Plastic Waste Management Solution with Pyrolysis Method.” The event aimed to raise awareness about effective and eco-friendly plastic waste management, specifically focusing on the pyrolysis method. Pyrolysis is a technology that converts plastic waste into useful products like fuel without the use of oxygen.
The event included remarks from the Head of Mapala Wirasantirama, who emphasized the urgency of addressing the plastic waste problem in Indonesia. There was also a demonstration of small-scale pyrolysis equipment, which generated a lot of interest from participants. The event concluded with an exhibition of pyrolysis products and artworks made from recycled plastic waste.
The hope is that this event will motivate more young people, especially the academic community of Politeknik STIA LAN Jakarta, to care about environmental issues and develop innovative technologies that support the sustainability of the earth.
