Jakarta, 23 September 2024 – Politeknik STIA LAN Jakarta held a Workshop on Recognition of Past Learning (RPL) on Monday, 23 September 2024. This activity presented speakers from the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Sandra Aulia Zanny, SE, Ak, M.S.Ak and Yulita Priyoningsih, S.Sos.
In her remarks, Dr. Nurliah Nurdin, MA, conveyed the importance of RPL in supporting continuing education for the community, especially for those who already have work experience but want to continue formal education. “RPL provides an opportunity for individuals to convert their experience and expertise into academic credits, so as to accelerate their formal education process,” said Dr. Nurliah.
The event was attended by lecturers and education personnel of Politeknik STIA LAN Jakarta who enthusiastically followed each session. The material presented focused on the mechanism for implementing RPL, government policies related to RPL, and strategies for optimizing experiential learning in higher education.
Sandra Aulia Zanny, SE, Ak, M.S.Ak and Yulita Priyoningsih, S.Sos in her presentation explained the technical details of the validation and assessment process in RPL, as well as the challenges faced in its implementation in various universities.
With this workshop, it is hoped that the lecturers and education staff of Politeknik STIA LAN Jakarta can better understand and apply the concept of RPL, so that it can provide maximum benefits for students and professionals who want to continue their education through the RPL route.
